This fireplace is a central feature of a 1970’s time capsule of a rambler. Its bricks were dingy, and the homeowners knew it would be a missed opportunity to simply clean it up or paint it one color. They wanted an artistic, experiential focal point. 

 

Bent Design Co considered the vibe of the entire home, including the exterior paint color, because the mantel is visible from the exterior front entry. They pulled in the orange from the countertops and thought carefully about the angles of the paint as they intersected with the built-in shelving. The result? A colorful, dynamic centerpiece that adds extra character to a gem of a home.
